Noisy fan motor on CLK-500
Last week was the first time I heard the fan motor come on and it was louder than loud. The weather was very warm and when I pulled into my garage and got out of the car, I could not believe the sound coming from under the hood. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

Yes, it's normal, as long as you don't have a vibration don't worry about it. If you can't live with it the dealer can reprogram the high speed lower, but my car runs very cool in 90 degree + days so I'm keeping mine the way it is.

I heard this for the first time about a week ago and thought the engine was coming out of the car. After a little one-on-one with one of our Master Technicians, he explained that it is very normal. I agree with you, that it is a little loud, but you will get used to it in a month or so and after that you will not even notice it anymore!! Just enjoy your car!!

Yup, it's normal. Mine always kicks in when it's really warm out and the auto climate control goes into "max cool" mode on start up. But it is annoying because it stays on so long like that. The dealer did have to reprogram it once becuase it was a touch too sensitive (his words not mine). My car is silver with the ash interior too...I can't imagine how endless it would be on a black on black vehicle.
