Quick question, please help ASAP
Previous thread I mentioned that I got hit and totaled lost my CLK 500, and now I am going to get a 2008 CLk 350, I emailed to the sales and she said it equipped with bluetooth, Can anyone tell me how to check if a car has bluetooth installed? Check the console/armrest? Thanks, I will buy the car in Saturday.

Well most if the time you can tell if you see the UHI connector installed in the armrest sometimes it is installed in the center and sometimes in the back of the Armrest .
Some cars say its prewired that only means that the wires is there and not all the equipment is there.
Ask the dealer if it comes with a puck. more then likely then you will have BT if it does. If it has UHI it may have it also.

Some newer models, beginning around 2009/2010 abandoned the MHI/UHI style phone interface and have BT built into the head unit. Others, like the CLK, require the car have the cell phone connector and a BT "puck" plugged into it. If you don't have the cell phone connector in the center console, then the term "pre-wiring" for just means you'll save about $150 on the $1,000 worth of parts that you lack.
