Hey, can I ask whether you changed the oil yourself or had it done somewhere (somewhere other than a MB dealer)? Either way, can I also ask what it cost you? I ask because I used to get all my work done at a good indie that was always very fair with me, and he charged $120. Seemed fair for 8.5 qts of Mobil1 and a bootleg filter. Then I got my wife's oil changed at the dealer, cuz I didn't have time: $99 and they gave us a new C Class loaner and washed the car while they had it (and reset the FSS of course.) I know that many members chg their own oil, and it's not because they're cheapskates, but I don't have the space or the gear. The oil change is the best (only?) deal at my dealer!

I had it done at dealer, first one since I bought the car online from a dealer in Ca. in Jan. of this year. It was taken in trade, had only 1800 miles on it, so I benefited big time by the depreciation. Has 8000 miles on it now, said service B was due, but I opted for oil/filt/lube only,
cost $144. Dealer did not reset service indicator, and the post I got did not work, so dealer is going to reset it.
