How to remove A pillar cover?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the LHS A pillar cover? Just pull?

10 in diagram.

2004 CLK 500 Previous: 2001 CLK 430
Getting it out is the easy part, there are some metal clips that may bend when pulling it, they secure the wiring underneath, but they can be re-bent. Putting it in is a ***** where it goes into the dash trying to line it up. The notches are at an awkward angle. They were most likely installed at factory without the windshield in.

Thank you. I'm being ultra fussy but the small sharp tip of the LHS cover between dash & screen was broken off at installation in Germany. The RHS one is perfect.

My drivers side pillar came with a custom cigarette burn so I had to replace it. It's a fussy job putting it back on, I pulled the wires from the frame to get some slack and tucked them into the clips before putting it back on.
