I've Only had it a Month.. Need some help!

OK everyone, I'm new!
New to German, new to the forum.
I bought a black on black on black 2005 CLK 500 cab with about 70k miles on it a couple months ago. It's been GREAT. Can't wait to get some upgrades on it (future posts :O)
I can't find any posts on my problem though. My speedometer died and ABS light came on this morning on my way to work (Atlanta traffic...) and the display kept showing "Display Malfunction" and "Brake Wear." After work I ran an errand and went to leave and got stuck in park.
Throwing P0600 code I later saw.
I heard it's my rear left ABS sensor...? The car seems to run fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all,
Joey

These cars are known for electrical gremlins. Do a hard ECU reset (disconnect battery for 20 minutes) and see if you're still plagued with issues.

P0600 = Serial Communication Link Malfunction - usually fixed by a reboot.

Regarding "Brake Wear" you have probably tripped a pad wear sensor. Check pads all round.

Yes - if a reboot does not work check ECM connection/plugs etc for corrosion.

It's usually just a brain fart.

The reboot worked for about two miles... I'll check the ECU connection tonight and start with replacing the brake pads.
Thanks for the suggestions, please, keep them coming!

How is the battery health? Low bat can cause all sorts of strange behavior before a sensor tells you that it is low.

The front brake pad sensor looks original. I cleaned everything up until I could get a new sensor and all stayed off for 20+ miles! Just put a new sensor in, will post tomorrow. Thanks again everyone.

Glad to hear that you might have solved the issue. Damn odd cars electrically....

I spoke too soon. ABS light back on, brake wear warning on, and Speedo died. This is killing me! Going to check battery output, though it seems new. Maybe wheel sensors next.

I had it checked out at a local shop. Half the price of the stealership, great reviews. Kind of excited about them.
Anyway, it's the ESP module. I'm going to be searching for a thread on this unless anyone already knows enough about them. Can I repair it? Wondering where I can get one reasonably priced, too.
Does a new one have to be programmed to the car?

I appreciate everyone's help, and hope my post helps anyone else...

How did this work out for you I am wondering. I have two, first one got t-boned and damage was too extensive to justify not just buying another. Good news is, now I have a parts car. Anyway, never an issue with the first, but this one, I literally just got less than a week ago. First time, all of a sudden CE light on, ABS light on, ESP malfunction warning, Display malfunction warning, Break wear warning, and car stuck in park. Couldn't find manual release, had it towed into my guys shop. He switched out the shifters from the damaged one, everything was smooth. Less than 24 hours later, same boat, while I was driving it, lights popped up and so did warnings. Luckily not stuck in drive, but as soon as I put it in park. Stuck. Texas dealer, I'm in NY, not too far for an *** whoopin, but trying to troubleshoot if the plane ticket will cost me more than the repair. Any advice, resolutions found?

To add, when the car came off the carrier it had light bulbs out, two tails in particular. Bulbs were good though and they corrected themselves once the boards were removed and put back.
