Headlight Washer Cover
What's up guys?
Sooooooo, as some of you know I recently just replaced my front bumper because the last OEM one's paint began to crack in different places and the bumper became completely misaligned.
https://mbworld.org/forums/4957171-post18.html
Just received and installed another brand new OEM 500 AMG style front bumper, but there's a slight problem...there are holes for the headlight washer. Thing is, my car did not/ does not have the headlight washer system. When I got this all done through my local Mercedes dealership (have a good, long, and personal friendship with one of the guys there) and they pulled up my VIN they went off what it said which was with headlight washers and w/o parktronic, so that's what they got and painted for me. So, they gave me complimentary headlight washer covers, but before installing them I'm thinking what is the best way to install them because to install them the proper way you need the headlight washer system, which I do not have on my car.
Any recommendation on a paste or method to install these covers?
Always appreciated.

You don't need the headlight washer to properly install it. It a stand alone cover with spring load and attached to the bumper and not the washer. As for install the cover, centering the cover onto the cutout hole on the bumper. Since you don't have the headlight washer system, who care about the spring, just glue/epoxy on the cover from the back side of the bumper.

Angelo, my front bumper cover is off the car right now for some cosmetic work - when I go to the shop tomorrow I'll snap a pic of how the cover is mounted and post it. Klinh is correct in saying its very simple.

I would copy Kev's factory mount. Don't bodge the things on. You never know when you will change your mind about things. I've had lamp washers on three cars in a row now & never use them. But you might decide to retrofit.

Appreciate you snapping that photo Kev. It'll be really helpful. I'm not trying to epoxy/ glue on my Benz if I don't have to.

You are a star! This CLK forum impresses me as do W203 & W204. People help one another with none of the AMG W211 BS.
Be proud. This is what the technical forums are all about.
