Question Overlooked rare option ???

I was doing a little custom building on the MBUSA website and saw you could add rear side window sunshades that retract into the panels on a CLK for something like $93 when ordering from the factory. I would have liked that option, had no idea it was even available.

I have that option, but never use it, its kind of useless to me, but pretty cool when I show other people the options on the car.

It looks like those are $186 (which would be $93 each) and those are accessories which would be dealer installed, not factory installed (I believe)

Just want to be clear, you have the side shades not just the rear shade right? Were they factory installed?

Thanks

The shades actually roll down into special slots on the tops of the rear side panels, so I think they must have to be from the factory but I'm not sure.

power or not?

Are these shades operated by a button or are they operated the same way the power rearshade is?

I still think all "accessories" are dealer installed & the side window sunshades are not power operated & can be installed on any car without any modification. On the Mercedes web site under build your own in the accessories section it says;

About Accessory Pricing

Actual prices vary by dealer and do not include labor, installation charges or local taxes.

I don't think anything under accessories is factory installed. I got the wood steering wheel and it was dealer installed.

The wood steering wheel is also a factory option.

I don't know if I'd want my dealer cutting into the rear side panels of my car...they can't even do normal service without some form of collateral damage

Lets see what WHEELRZ has to say about his
