Staggered Wheel Fitment 18" Front & 19" Rear
Hello All,
Was wondering if anyone has done staggered wheels? 18" Front and 19" Rear? What tire size did you end up running with? Thanks.
I have a 08 CLK550 with the factory AMG wheels but I'm patiently awaiting the 19' Vossen VVS CV3 that are slated to be released later this year. Until then I came across a set of wheels for a low price. I purchased these Lorinser Rep wheels off of a person who had these on a SL550 (R230). He was running these on 225/40/R18 Front & 255/35/R19 Rear. Pardon my ignorance I know very little regarding tire size but am I limited to running these exact tire size? I want the tires to be low profile and not look to thick. I also plan on getting coil overs down the line to minimize wheel gap.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks. Also added a few views on the configurator to see how these would look on a similar looking vehicle to our W209.

This is not the greatest idea because of the large differences in profile you are going to have to run to keep the rolling circumference of front & rear wheels within 2% of one another or you will trigger the ESP.
See Tirerack specs for revs per mile for different tyre sizes to keep this within 2% max.
