Okay...I read some of the treads....and they all have different issues.
My car was going into ESP warning and into limp mode. for 2 weeks I had to stop the car and restart.
Mechanics here in CT....no clue...
I have the Engine light on and off all summer car always ran fine. when off.
mechanics you have a trim problem it could anything....BLA..BLA.
Your ESP: I clean the connections...ad you may need a new Module...$800 + $400 labor.
so I took it to Imported cars of Darien in Norwalk.
They hired a guy to come over and diagnostic with a MB scanner (that is the only thing that can scan MB cars)
The screen show the following codes:
P0103 B2/5 Mass Air flow sensor
P1999
P0221 fault in the monitor in the electronic accelerator
ESP
C1510 fult in communication N63/1 DTR control Module
C1024 Can't communicate with engine system is faulty
The guy...looked at the faults traced all back to a bad Air mass sensor.
He pop the hood looks at it and said to me...replace it with a BOSCH that one is NON-BOSCH. JUNK!
