2006 clk 500 coupe
Gap specs on clk

I recently bough a 2006 clk500 coupe . Im in the process of rebuilding it . I have an new front end . Can anyone tell me if mercedes has gap specs available to install the front hood , fenders and bumper to factory condition ? Thanks for any help you could give me .

@bheng: It depends. If you are replacing one panel, say a fender, then you install it, leaving the bolts slightly loose, the adjust it to match the hood and bumper. If you are installing an entire front end, then you actually start with the hood, then the fenders, then the bumper, checking gaps at each step. As long as the "frame" is straight, it's fairly easy to align everything as you go. Use a plastic wedge as your measurement tool.

ahh ic.

i was thinking about realigning my hood. seems a bit off and was always wondering if there was a way to adjust
