Keep in mind that if it says it fits the 203 C class, it DOES NOT fit the 209 CLK. The radios/dash kits are different widths and are not interchangeable despite claims buy sellers and others who claim they are the same.

LOL kevwood to the rescue!
it took me a while but I finally have enough $ to get a top of the line double din receiver, new amp and 2 new fronts...
I don't know what to do though about the FASCIA part since the Schoche one doesn't seem to fit
I was looking at dynamites old thread ... he bought Dinman's and it seemed like a good fit for the post face lift... however its gonna be hard to match up the CF that comes with it
I am strongly considering buying the auto toys one for $50...then sending that in to have custom CF on it...
oh and have you seen the up and coming new 8" ALPINE! omfg but its not out yet..
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-tSB80oH...NE-Z928HD.html
would love to hear your breakdown of ... pioneer avic Z140 BH (What I'm planning to get) VS KENWOOD vs sony vs thew new clarion

ya w209 and 203 are different, they look similar, but they are a few centimeters in size different. Rollin on the w203 forum had a custom one made for his w203 and phister on the w203 forum also got the same one. They both look sick. It only cost around 160 I think so you might want to ask one of them about it and see if there guy can do one for a w209. Good luck

That new Alpine looks fairly cool considering the LCD size but the resolution remains the same at 800X400 so the reality is that a 7" screen will actually have a better picture with the same resolution.
The Z140 looks like a nice piece of kit, they really are consistent in their product range for the most part, I really don't see how you can go wrong with it. As for comparing it to my Kenwood, feature wise it looks quite similar and they are both the flagship units in their own respective lineups. One edge the Kenwood seems to have (just on the surface) it the mapping, they use GARMIN where as Pioneer uses Tele Atlas. These days I'm sure all mapping is getting pretty close but GARMIN has been and still is 'considered' and industry leader.
Buying an audio system is a lot like buying a car, Chevy or Ford, Audi or Benz, Hyundai or Bimmer... I prefer Kenwood for a variety of reasons, others say it "okay but there is better stuff out there". My Kenwood systems won me IASCA Zone championships and IASCA World Finals invites so I have very good reason to stick with it. Again though, the Z140 looks pretty awesome pal.
As for the CF dash kit Wes bough, it did not fit, period. He later said he had it modified (shaved down) and it fit well but I don't think I saw a picture of it finally installed. My opinion is that it's far better to buy a proper kit and have it covered in CF rather than buying one that has to be modified then re-sealed.

Bought the dash kit, antenna adapter and OEM harness adapter (so you don't have to hack up the dash wiring to access power, ground & antenna amp access) from these guys;

Shoot them an email, maybe it's just out of stock. Yeah, fit perfect, absolutely perfect, I was very impressed (shout out to gretch). By tomorrow evening I hope to have a few pics up from the audio install, if of some reason I don't, I'll PM/email you a picture of the HU installed so you can see the figment of the dash kit.

Doesn't look like the fascia is out of stock by the way, here's the link:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...ht_2240wt_1270
It's been almost a year I've been using this fascia kit, steering wheel controls adapter, and aeriel adapter with my Pioneer headunit and have absolutely no complaints. Dynamic Sounds are an excellent store to deal with. They put up with a million of my emails helping me out with the right things that I needed and when the first shipment of everything that they sent got lost in the mail, they immediately sent replacements.
Here are a few pics of the fascia kit installed:
And dont forget to buy the steering wheel control adapter for your respective headunit. It is worth every penny for the convinience it provides not only in having audio control, but also making the installation simpler as you can remove the adapter at the end of the wire and just match the color coded wires from both sides.
(mine was Pioneer so I went with this http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...ht_2240wt_1270)

Stock Mercedes antennas also come with a special connector that is different than what the aftermarket headunits like Pioneer can take in, therefore you need an adapter in between the headunit and the stock antenna if you want to be able to use it. This is what I have: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...ht_2220wt_1270

Yeah I just noticed. The main thing to look for is the part number, which I believe is CT23MB04A (see the eBay listing), which by looking on the UK eBay, I just found two sellers (no personal experience using them) that do ship to US:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CT23MB04A-Me...ht_1402wt_1270
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-CLK...item2ebe7e0de5
Whoever you're buying from should be able to help you out with getting the other adapters as well.

http://www.metraonline.com/files/cat...Facia_Kits.pdf
i don't know why people on the forum have said that neither the metra nor schorse kits fit...
