is it worth keepining the original comand?
does anyone know if it is still used by mb tech to diagnose or do anything useful?
basically i was gonna add the dension gateway module which is 450-500$
i mite as well upgrade the whole comand for 650-700$ and get and hd screen too.

No it is not used to diagnose anything, just there for radio navi and thats it. Nothing else.

Btw, i would love to see an Ipad custom fit.

That module is half the price of a really good double din head unit to replace the COMAND.

Pretty much anything can be integrated to the steering wheel controls through the use of PAC interfaces. The majority of members here use either Pioneer or Kenwood. I'm hoping to have my car home this weekend, if so, I will finally get some audio pics up so you can see my HU.

I love my Command with my Helix sound system. I like the OEM look as well.
I'm getting a dension gateway in a couple of weeks(will try to install it during my vacation). Will post a review once done.

Keep your Command and put your money on new speakers(if you haven't already).

i wouldn't mind keeping the current command, but its so dated and doesn't even have an hd screen. the dynavin version of our command is nice but from the videos iv seen, its response time is slow.

im not that big on speakers, as long as it sounds nice.

i found a jvc nt800hdt that i would like to replace it with, but the problem is our dash gets narrower towards the bottom. do I have to get like a special kit to install it so it blends with the car.

sry i don't know much about this kind of stuff, I'm just starting to get into it,

thank for all your help guys, i really appreciate it,
