ipod cable replacement

Hi guys so my 09 350 came with a broken iPod cable . I have a replacement and have looked through the threads here . Is the end plug of the cable located on the passenger side ??? Just need confirmation before I rip the side apart.

Thats where mine is, dealer/factory installed. I took the kick plate under the passenger side dash down and there was the box that the ipod cable plugged into.
On a side note, does your new one have a black or white head where it plugs in to the ipod? Mine has a white plug that does not charge the ipod and i read somewhere there is a new plug with a black head that does charge.

if it does, please post the part number; I've been told part numbers 6-7-82-4531 or 6-7-82-4257 and I don't know which is which. I installed the "aux input" cable (Part Number: 2104405005) and then did crazy things to make it charge the iPod and provide line-level output, but it still doesn't display any song info in the speedo multifunction display. I've re-routed it several times, never had it terminate in the glovebox. It started in the cupholder (install posts here, and here, and here), then I had it stick out of a carpet seam. Now it's in the ashtray (and much cleaner).

It's super easy. Connection is on the far right. I recall pulling off the little side panel on the side of the glove box when you open the door and the panel under the glove box. Takes 15 minutes, But like somebody else said, make sure you get the updated black head cable.

Yeppz I got guys thatnks a lot for the quick reply. It is in the kick panel. I bought the old cable for 10 bucks bc I have the old video iPod and had no need for the new cable since I use android .
All I did was remove the airfilter halfway and the iPod interface was rite there .
