Ordered my coupe...

Hi guys, thanks for tolerating my questions while I was doing my research.

I just ordered my CLK 500 , August build, September delivery. I was told the build date was between the 10th and the 20th, apparently the build month is divided into quarters?

I ordered Silver with Ash interior. Im also getting black mats with it to break up the interior color. Ive done this with Ash/Grey interiors before and it looks very nice. Heated seats, moonroof and wood steering wheel. I just found out though that I have to order a CD changer also.

Are you kidding me? This car doesnt come with an in dash CD unless you get command system? Even a KIA has that. !!

My bid was accepted over the internet at $54,200. I thought that was a pretty good deal (saved around 3K).

Again thanks for the help.

Internet bid?

What do you mean, "my bid was accepted over the internet". Did you not visit the dealer in person? Did you get bids from out of your area?

Kinda funny story actually...

I went to visit the local St Louis dealer (Plaza Motors) and they wouldnt budge off sticker, then I went to their site one day and up pops this "name your own price" section and I made a bid and they accepted! LOL ...so much for not budging.

I did not bid at any other dealers other than my own.

Internet shopping on these types of cars is the way to go. I emailed every dealer in my state and made it clear that I was giving them all one shot to earn my business. The emails and phone calls started pouring in and the winner knocked $3000 off a CLK500.
