Top won't go down because the rear side window won't go down
I have a 2005 CLK320 Cabriolet and my top stopped going down. It unlatches in the front and raises the bow but then beeps and stops. I just realized while trying to check out the hydraulics that the driver side rear window starts to go down and then stops as if it is hitting something. Obviously the top cannot fold without hitting the window so it just stops.
Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know how to fix the window? It isn't a fuse because it repeatedly goes down about 2 inches and will go back up.
This is really bad because the temps just broke down here in Texas and I need do feel the wind in my hair!

It's probably a broken window regulator. You'll have to pull the panel off and see what's going on. If you're lucky, it may just be a broken bushing on the glass, but it's probably a bad regulator Some people have reported being able to do a repair, but the whole part is about $350 on parts.com
