Questions for Rudeney and Glyn M Ruck.

I'm a little disappointed with my Slk55 brake. I bought the car almost a year ago, put on about 12k miles and never abuse the car at all. Lately, my 09' Slk55 w/030 Performance Package lately is getting a slight pulsing/vibration when step on the brake only at high speed. No vibration under normal braking. The dealer want around $2300 (front rotors $900 ea., pads $180 and sensor) for parts, labors and taxes. I can buy all those parts online for around $1700 and install it myself, which I will do. But before I replace the parts, I want to try something first, which Mercedes does not recommended to do. Since the vibration/pulsing is very little, I want to have the rotors resurfaces if the rotors still got enough thickness on it. It could be the front rotors or the rear. What do you guys think? I really got nothing to lose, right?

If you have adequate thickness. Nothing wrong with having them professionally ground.

Life left is entirely usage dependent.

Yep, definitely get them resurfaced if you have enough stock left.
