I think you are correct. The EU units got the TV function:

The US versions don't :

My car is EU version. Do you guys think I can only instal the EU nav unit or the US should work as well?

Non-USA COMAND units (i.e. Euro units) had a TV function. You could actually add an optional OTA TV tuner. USA models do not have this as it is not legal here. As for plug and play, COMAND is usually a direct drop-in for standard audio BUT you need to make sure if you have the Bose options, you get COMAND with Bose. And you may have to add a GPS for NAV to work.

Thanks Rudeney! My system is the Bose one. What comand should I get to be plug & play?

I think they all have the audio out via D2B, which should work with the Bose amp, but I understand the actual Bose versions of the radio have some special coding. Honestly, I would not go with an OEM COMAND unit - I'd rip out the Bose speakers and amp, run analog wiring from the dash to the trunk, and go with a good aftermarket system with a trunk-mounted amp.

Thanks Rudney. Most of aftermarket seller said that I don't need to replace the Bose speakers. Only the Bose amp .

The Bose speakers are 2ohms, and some head units won't drive them. Even so, the Bose speakers are not very good at producing full range sound - they rely heavily on special equalization in the factory head unit and the amplifier to sound decent.
