CLK 500 35.000 miles maintenance
Hi all. I just bought an used CLK 500 2004. I already changed the oil (Mobil 1 0w40, is it ok?) and oil filter.
Here in brazil the MB parts cost an fortune so I'd like to order all parts from US or UK. Could you guys tell me what I should order (parts/brands)?
Even if I don't need to replace right now I would prefer order and keep them. Brake pads?Brake discs? Air filter? Spark plugs? Please, I will be grateful if you guys point me the parts and also the best brand for each one.
Thank you all so much.

As long as it was Mobile 1 0w40 "European formula" that meets MB spec 229.5, then you're good. As for other services, I recommend following the maintenance manual:
http://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/DigitalA...ss_slclass.pdf
On item not covered int he maintenance manual, but something important is a transmissions service. Based on experience, I recommend doing a fluid and filter change every 40K miles. You will only be able to change about 4l out of a total of almost 12l of fluid, but it's better than nothing, plus changing the filter is a good preventative maintenance as well. Unless you are very skilled, I would not recommend it as a DIY.
As for parts, I am not sure if you will find too many US/UK sellers willing to ship to Brazil.

Thanks Rodney. I took my car to a MB expert before I purchase. This guy changed the oil ,oil filter and also the gear socket ( not sure if its the correct name in english). He said it had a little oil coming off the part so it was replaced and he also complete the oil level with 2 more litres. Is it the transmission service you mean? What about the brake pads.. spark plugs, etc? What are the best brands?
