Whose running gutted secondaries or test pipe in CA?
Looking to see if CA owners who use a test pipe or gut their OEM cat pass smog. Thinking of going this route but wanted to double-check I can pass smog.

You won't get any OBDII errors, but if they do a visual inspection, there might be questions. Also, there is a possibility that your secondaries aren't even catalysts, but just resonators. There seems to be some discrepancies as to what's actually there. A guy I know that ownes an indy shop pulled the secondaries from his CL500 and they were basically hollow, just with a few baffles inside - no platinum catalyst.
