Alright guys, as the designated Picture Post *****... I thought I'd post a few pics of car you all know and love... probably the only W209 that deserves our ooohs & aaahs...

This car made its way to the W.I. Simonson Mercedes dealership last Friday morning, not sure how long it will be there, but these pics were taken today... almost 1 week later.

Sorry about the glare on some of the pics...

Disclaimer.....
The car looks so sweet, it makes me ALMOST feel like getting a W209 instead... but, I love what I got, and won't ever trade for the 209...

But, I thought I'd let ya'll know, before you get too excited about this car... it is ALL SHOW... NO GO!!!

I was taking a close look, and I noticed, dude, this guys brakes and rotors don't look right. The rotors look PAINTED and is a solid block instead of the preferred cross drilled for racing... and the calipers look kinda choppy... some other minor things looked weird too...

So, when I was chatting with my SA, he told me, that car is sweet, but it is fake... it doesn't even have an engine...

My guess... it is just a marketing car... just to show MB owners what is out their on their race circuit... it is nothing other than a Shell with wheels... nothing under the hood... hell, even the brakes were fake... still, if you are in the neighborhood, check it out. The car's design & body kit is quite a sight to see....

I was in Chicago back in February and got to meet Jon Alesi the DTM driver of that car. He does not speak very good English, but a very interested person. They unveiled that car and the new W211 E55 at the Chicago Autoshow. The only bad thing is that the car did not have the engine in place. They pushed the car onto the display ramp and then when finished, out of the building...Very Cool
