Stiff When Turning Right
As a lot of you have followed my tough road with my car and the flood I'm glad to say the car has been home and the new engine is running fantastic! Definitely been amazing to have the car back.........until a problem just popped up...
Only when turning right the steering wheel gets stiff to turn. Can definitely still make the right turn, but it is definitely stiffer than turning it left. Any ideas? Checked power steering fluid levels and it all looks good.
As a note I did get my steering angle sensor replaced by the dealership so don't know if that or the clock spring inside have anything to do with it...also did the 5x turning the wheel thing...
Thanks for any help as always!
Angelo

Weird that it's only stiff turning right though. Could a bushing or control arm cause the same problem?

It is extremely unlikely that this is a suspension issue. A seized/tight ball joint or strut tower bearing would fight in both directions. It's likely either that the PS system requires bleeding or you have a rack problem.
For it to be related to suspension or alignment something would have to be very wrong.
If it was a rack problem wouldn't it affect my alignment? That got done when I had it at the shop during my engine swap and steering angle sensor swap.
