W209 CLK320 oil filler neck housing leak

I have oil leaking from the housing that the oil filler neck twists into. There appears to be a gasket between the housing and the valve cover however, my MB dealer is telling me that I'll need a complete valve cover as there is no part listed other than the 2 rubber seals associated with the oil filler cap and neck. Does anybody have any info about this?

Can you post a pic? If you have a neck or extension (not just a cap on the valve cover) it may be the same as the one I bought, if so, I'll shoot you the part number.

Sorry but I'm not familiar at all with what the 320 cap/filler looks like.

***EDIT***

I just looked up a picture of the 320 that shows the neck;

If this is it, it looks like the same one I bought for my 500 when I swapped engine covers, the part number is;

A1120100064

It comes with a gasket on the bottom that seals against the valve cover. Just cross reference the number at your MB dealer to see if it comes up for your car.

Thanks for this info. I'll contact my dealer and see what it comes up with. Let you know the outcome shortly.

It would appear that part number is for the oil filler tube (or neck as I refer to it). My leak is at the base of the housing that neck fits onto, between the housing and valve cover. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

There is a gasket on the bottom of the neck, it makes contact with the vale cover directly, I don't know if you can buy that separately or only as a unit with the neck.

You could always take the neck off, clean up the valve cover and bottom of the next really well then apply a very thin bead of RTV silicone & reassemble. Let it cure before starting up the car and driving.

I did some further digging on the forum and came across this:-
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...over-leak.html
Whilst being a different model it clarifies what I'm talking about and confirms what the dealer told me i.e. there is no part number for the item I'm referring to as it seems it's actually the valve cover which is formed of two parts that are sealed with no gasket in existence.
Apologies if I've wasted your time over this Kevwood, but it does look like I could attempt splitting the cover and re-sealing.... or maybe I should just buy a new cover!
