Cold Weather
In winter, how long does it take for the heat to come out?
It has been around -20c to -25c in Toronto in the last few days. When I start my car in the morning, I would drive slowly once the RPM gauge drops. I noticed that warm air would come out after about 15-20 minutes. Is this normal?
My thermostats was changed in Oct-2011 and I just changed the serpentine belt and some pulleys (Tensioner pulley, Idler pulley, crankshaft pulley) last weekend.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
It doesn't get that cold here, but both our C240 and CLK550 warm up quickly - I have warm (warmer than ambient) air in the system within about 5 minutes of starting the engine. After 15 minutes, it would be "hot".

Maybe -20C is too cold that the car needs more time to warm up.
It actually went down to -25c overnight in the last few days. No windchill because the car was kept inside my garage,

I'm living in Montréal and we have -30. The hot air start blowing when the engine temperature is at 1/4 on the gauge. The engine rev little higher one speed higher to get this temperature faster.
