Should the side mirrors on my CLK320 2004 retract - i have tried the inside mirror adjustments but none seem to retract the mirros when parking or is this only by manually retracting them? which i am reluctant to do, also i need to retract them to go in a car wash.

If you have the option for electric folding side mirrors, the button will be on the headlight control panel. If it's not here, then all you can do is manually fold them. And no, you do not need to retract them in the car wash because you shouldn't take your car through a carwash in the first place.
