CLK 240 Mass Air Flow Meter
I will give you the symptoms which eventually lead to a new Mass Air Flow Meter (84,000 miles)
1. For about 3-months (2000 miles) I noticed a drop in my fuel consumption - not dramatic say 2-5 mpg.
2. For about 1-month (500 mils) The gear shifts were jerky both up and down (My car is a 5-speed auto)
3. For the last 200 miles my car developed really rough idling not all the time but enough for my to have the Mass Air Flow Meter replaced.
Now here's the next problem all service diagrams and parts lists point to the BOSCH 0 280 217 515 being the part required well it was not for my car. It required the BOSCH 0 280 217 810.

My MAF sensor was replaced 4-5 years ago by the dealership under warranty. The part no. was 112-094-00-48 and I was told that cost was $450 just for the MAF sensor.
I just typed in this mb part no. in Autohausaz and the site returned BOSCH 0 280 217 515. The I entered 0 280 217 810 and it returned another Bosch MAF sensor.
This is confusing. How did you find out which MAF sensor to use?
