i want to swop out my flat hood ornament with the stand up but i can't seem to find one for my car (2004 clk 320) can i use one from another model if so which one?...thanks

 

The hood ornaments are pretty standard - a W203 should be a perfect fit.

 

The W209 hood is only stamped for a flat badge. Unlike the W203 etc that is stamped for both. The W203 takes a different flat badge. The standard sprung upright star will not fit. If you find a workaround let us know.

 

Glyn is right - I had not looked closely at the W209 hood, but it is different as there is no bottom access for the spring mechanism of the standing star ornament. It may be possible to attach a W203 star, but it would take some drilling.
