Dumb question about Youtube videos in posts

When people imbed Youtube videos in posts (not a link but the actual video) and I click on it, the video is real bright and washed out kind of like it is way overexposed or I'm watching through a white bedsheet. If I dwell my cursor on the bar that moves as the video plays, the little still images are fine. What is causing that? I can watch videos on Youtube or from any other internet source just fine - it's only imbedded ones in the car forum that do this, but I never hear anybody else complaining.

It was worth starting this thread just to watch that. I watched it fine on my work computer, but it's all bleached out on my home computer. Weird. But if go find that same video on Youtube, no problem.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
My guess is that it's the version of Adobe Flash Player you have on the home computer doing something weird with it's integrated player called from the forum, but not on the stand-alone player called by YouTube. Try upgrading it to the latest release.
