Has anyone figured out how to power the down facing lights?

It looks to me like there may be three different versions of these now available. I think the car absolutely needs this upgrade to have a current look.

I was thinking of these as they appear to have some angularity vs. the more oem style sort of bulbous look. Price wise they are about the same.

I personally don't think CF is going to look right with the big mirror bases in color.

one of the others was recently mentioned from the seller in canada and i came across a set being sold out of L.A. that looked subtly different

humm. i have a black clk, so i thought that the Carbon Fiber would pass. maybe ill go with the black one. it really does make the car look up to date. i would like to see a diy

With the black bases cf might just work. There is a dyi is some other forum and it was a black install and the color match was not great. The covers basically are held on with clips and it sounds pretty straightforward with the exception of how to power the courtesy lights.
