That's looking great. Have you driven much with it yet?

Quick question about the spare tire well. How is it holding up, being so close to the pipe and not having heat shielding?

Looks good. I have the same setup.

Spare tire well is holding up fine. Nothing has melted yet and I've had it for 1.5 years

Thanks, I have been driving it everywhere.
the spare tire well is holing up, it doesn't even get warm. I put some reflective tape on it and the gas tank as well just in case.

Nice! I am thinking of getting a CLK 500, and I was wondering how to do this?
Is it a difficult conversion? And what parts do you need in order to do this?
It looks really good

This looks really good. Anxious to hear the sound clips...... between your setup and that of lowpost, i have a plan.... just need to save some money for it.....

Regarding the potential heat concern; why don't you just wrap that part of the tubing. My "guess" (based on my touch and using a small bottle of water with sprayer after a 20 mile drive) ) is that the temp is reduced about 60%. You can touch the wraped portion but you can't keep your fingers in contact more than a few seconds. Of course you can't touch a bare exhaust without much pain and probably serious blisters. Water sprayed on the bare tubing vaporizes immediately; water on the wraped tubing just runs off onto the ground.

Its bit of a pain routing the exhaust up and over the sway bar but thats the hardest part.
your going to need exhaust piping, tips and the bumper cover that fits the clk55 with the duel exhaust cut outs

Thanks, I'm just waiting for some better weather to make some clips.

The exhaust was wrapped around the gas tank part and I used a stick on reflective heat shield just for some insurance.

I didn't wrap the rear section because I felt that it didn't get hot enough, I put a bit of reflective hear shield on the spare tire well to be on the safe side.

Alright thanks. Just a few more questions.

So I have looked for the piping and stuff, and will this sort of a thing work?

And if yes will I need to get this piece as well?

Thanks, and if you can, can you check out my post? I have a few other questions. Thanks!

I think your best bet would be to go to a mechanic or an exhaust guy, I know a little about exhaust work but not enough to advise you on what parts to buy. sorry
