Malfunctions

I was driving along this morning and after 30 minutes, I noticed the following 2 malfunctions at the same time:
1. Coolant fluid, Check level.
2. Washer fluid, Check level.

Windsheild washer was working and according the instument cluster, engine temperature was 90C. All seemed OK. When I stopped the car after the highway, I turned off and on the car and no more malfunctions. I will see if these malfunctions reappear in the next few days.

Since cooling and washer systems are not related, how would the 2 malfunctions appear at the same time? Do they share the same fuse or something?

The coolant level and washer fluid level sensor are actually on the same wiring harness and even wired in series. My guess is that you have a loose connection in this wire that is erroneously triggering the message.

So, this explains why both malfunctions came up at the same time. Thanks.

Where is this wiring harness? Maybe I can jiggle and secure the wires.

Start at the washer reservoir and trace back from there. To access it, remove the fender shroud extension between the left front tire and the bumper.

Start by filling the washer reservoir on older models.
