ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE...

Hi all,
I recently switched from a C class (W203) to an old 03 CLK320 (W209).
Im getting the notorious 'clunk', 'knock' sound from the front end and looking at getting it fixed.
Has anyone used or bought these parts of ebay, if so whats your opinion?

Thanks
DC

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Those are all made in China. One of the problems I have with eBay is that you only get the "initial" feedback for the seller - there is no long-term review of quality. If these parts start failing after, say 5K miles or so, you'd have no way of knowing. Personally, I'd go with either OEM or name-brand parts (Lemfoerder, Meyle, etc.)

what's the infamous Clunk/Knock?

going around a sweeping bend a little fast at say 40mph+ , I'll hear what sounds like a warped rotor. But it's not the brakes or rotor.

is this the sound you hear? I thought it might be front steering suspension. Do you see play in the system while it's up in the air?

I have a 4 wheel alignment when I bought 4 new tires & the clunking was radically reduced, but is still there a bit. I was told the rear alignment was quite a bit off.

Hi Clydem,
I dont know what a warped rotor sounds like. The 'Cluck'/'Knock' sound im referencing can be found in this fix thread...

FYI, this is the 'creek' fix thread also...

Hope this helped somewhat.
