lowered my car!

Here's some before and after pics of my 2004 clk500. Lowered on H&R sport springs for the cabriolet. I put Koni yellow adjustable struts on the front. With all new mounting, so it was just a swap. And since Koni was back ordered for the rears till at least Oct. I got a pair of bilstein sports for the rear. Just finished yesterday, so I don't have much seat time, but I really like my first feel. Will post more when I'm done dialing it in. I am going to go with some 18 inch roderick wheels. I have more pictures in the picture thread. I though they would come here, but they didn't. Also my tail lights are tinted with 2 coats of night shades with a 2000 wet sand and polish.

Very nice..... I particularly like the tails. Lowered mine a few years ago and became even more addicted to driving it.....

Very nice wtg go !! You will be even more happier when you get the rear Koni's also here is a link for you this is what I did to make it much more easier to adjust the rears when you get them. https://mbworld.org/forums/5639032-post4.html

Just got back from having it aligned. This car is like a new car with this suspension. Rides firm but not harsh or bouncy at all. I do not notice any bad handling with the mixed shocks. As of now I will keep it like this. But i might go with the koni rears later if I feel it needs it. If any of you are even thinking of doing this, but are afraid you will ruin the ride, do it! You will not regret it. I still have my stock amg 17 wheels on it. Had to buy 2 new front tires. The stock michelins had a split on the inside. I would not have noticed it if I didnt have the wheels off to put the struts in. So to keep momma off my back I'll wait a little to get my new wheels. She gets a new floor in the dinning room first. I did this install by myself, with some help from my son. Anybody needs any questions answered fire away!

Your drop is very close to mine from what I can see in the pictures. It will drop a little further over time mine did. You might get even a lower look than mine I have Eibach's and Koni's all around and a #4 pad on the rear. I added H@R sways after about 7 months and what a new meaning of taking corners nice and tight with the whole setup. Good luck and Enjoy it.
