2005 CLK 320 Facelift
Looking for a few cosmetic parts

I've got a 2005 CLK Facelift and I've had a few things break off here and there and I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of getting the OEM parts without paying an arm and leg.

1. The gear shift emblem has come off and I have no idea where it is, so I need to get a replacement for that.
2. The passenger's mirror cover (the thing that flips up) broke off, so that too.
3. Will a 2006 middle console cover fit a 2005? The 2006 has that nice cupholder and rolltop thing? And if so, where can I get one in Ash?

Thanks much and I appreciate everything in advance.

Definitely no to your third question - not without serious modification. As for the first 2, I'm 99% certain you will need a shifter and sun visor - those are not separate parts.

Yidney, the OP asked this over on benzworld, so I looked at EPC. It appears that the only different parts are the console compartment itself and the cupholder.

Note that there are two parts #90 - the top on is the revised console compartment, the lower one is the old one. Also, part #95 is the new style cup holder that fits into that top part #90. The console part #20 appears to be the same for several VINs (pre and post MY2006 modification). I think all you have to do is remove the old compartment (#90), the trim under it (#30 and #40) and snap in the revised #90 and the cup holder #95.

Really? We're talking about pre facelift with the lid that flips up vs. the post facelift slider? If so, I don't think they are anything alike. Look at pics of each and see for example the difference in the distance from the back end of the wood around the shifter to the opening. And that the sides of the console are cut down to fit the flip up cover.

When I get a chance, I am going to remove my "facelift" center console compartment to verify, but I believe it was made specifically to fit over the opening left by the old style lid. If you'll look at yours, you will see how that armrest is wide and fits over the top of the center console. Also, one time when I did remove it, I found the "vestigial" lined compartment below it that would have been used by the old lidded style console.

OK, I took my center console apart (just the armrest compartment) to look. I am sure this can be done, I just don't know how many parts it's going to need. It may need a new part #20, or it may be that it can be modified. The area on the original version where there is a recess for your hand to open the lid is not there - it's been cut away. You can see this in the first photo. In the second, I have noted the three places where the metal spring clips attach. That plastic frame that the clips snap into appear to also be cut into part #20.
