What kind of maintenance does my top need??
I searched for a DIY, but, didn't find one. I used Gummy on my accessible rubber pieces. What do I need to lube - with what - to keep my CLK convertible top working like new. Any thoughts/pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your dealer sells a rubber seal lubricant that works wonders. It is expensive ($40+ per very small bottle) but that will probably be enough for the life of the car. They also have a cleaner, but my dealer told me it was discontinued. Here is the WIS doc (which includes the part numbers for the chemicals):

I think your missing an opportunity:
"What kind of maintenance does my top need??"
just a pretty woman sitting in the passenger seat
But on a serious note: I use these two products. Moreso the water repellant. Applied Early Spring, mid summer, and early fall it does wonders.

For environmental protection of the fabric, there are many products. I've tried Scotchgard, RaggTopp, Griot's kit, and even Granger tent cleaner and protector. They all seem about the same except the Granger tent protectant really had the water beading for a good 6 months (which is not really important, just cool). The problem I have is many of these protectant products is they end up washing off and coating the glass with an oily film in the rain.
