Thank you so much friend! for pointing me in the right direction!
I did a search but found nothing!,so just posted the question !
Let me ask you a question about your clk550,
Can you open the top from the remote on yours?
I have look in the manual ,and it say to press unlock and top should open, but is not.
Just curios if i don't do something right.

All you need to do if you are not doing it is Press the unlock butoon but KEEP holding the unlock button down till it is fully open. It need's to be fairly close to the car.

To use the "convenience open and close" feature from the SMartKey fob, you must have it aimed at the IR sensor on the door handle (the small black square below the door lock). It only works from a few feet away, and on top of that, those IR sensors tend to fail fron environmental factors. There is a guy over on the Benzworld W203 forum that took his apart and found it to be bad solder connections:

If you really want "convenience" with the soft top, then you must install a SmartTop controller:
http://www.mods4cars.com/sms/shop/in...ode=view&id=50
It uses the RF function of the SmartKey, so no worries about IR line-of-sight or failing IR sensors. Also, you can open and close the top with one click of the console switrch and up to 25mph.

I had the same problem with mine! I was able to push very hard and reseat the switch, but now the auto up and down function does not work on that one, so I have to replace the whole switch assembly now.
