hi all... just joined the site today and wanted to check in... just got myself a 2003 clk320 cabrio (pics to come soon)... funny story... this car is in response to my 1999 isuzu rodeo not being able to pass virginia safety inspection anymore... i took a week driving and haggling on way too many cars... the dealer where i got the benz had advertised an 2004 infinity g35 coupe that i had my heart set on... i arrived 10 minutes before opening only to doscover the infinity to be the sedan (blech!!!) so... my heart sank and as i was leaving for yet another day of test driving and haggling, i walked past the clk... the price in the window (yep this dealer still does that) was right and the salesman said 2000 off the window price for cash.... so a test drive and an hour of paperwork later im the proud owner of a 2003 clk320 cabriolet white with black top and black leather... the car has amg badges on the body side moulding but im questioning that so if anyone can tell me how to pick out a for real amg feel free to chime in!

Welcome to the club. Run the VIN to check the AMG status. I recommend getting on the CLK forums and starting a new thread to ask them. I've recently joined myself, but all the AMG's I've seen have the badge on the back and the engine identifier on the side. Not sure about the trend in 2003 though.

Welcome to the boards! Your 2003 clk 320 is a w208 so you will get more info on those boards. Also, all the amg models were v8's your 320 is a v6 so I do not know why you would have amg badging.

No such thing as a 320 AMG. Previous owner was a poser.

mmm hmm... i thought that was the case yidney... badges will be removed!!! glad that wasnt a selling point or even something the dealer even mentioned
