Hey everyone,
Sadly, I just hit my baby on a parking curb. I parked in a shopping center with a concrete base surrounding a tree in front of me. After I did my shopping, I got in the car, put it in drive, and totally forgot there was a concrete base there. So I went about 2-3 miles an hour an scratched the right front part of the bumper. :'( I'm so devastated. I have some pics below to show the damage. Are there any ways I can repair it, or get a whole new bumper instead? Can anyone provide me with the part # of the OEM front bumper of the AMG package CLK 500 with the fog lights and parking sensors? Thanks everyone.

No big deal. There are people who specialize in painting bumpers. I know of a guy who does works for MB dealerships. He only does bumpers and nothing else. I used him a few times and the job was perfect every time. He would repair the surface, then paint, then a heat lamp to speed up the drying, then apply clear coat. My local MB body shop charges $700 to paint a bumper and he charges about $150.
Your dealership properly has a guy who does the same.

If you let a "bumper guy" work on it, do NOT let him re-apply the clear coat! The more clear coat buildup you have, the more it chips. Mine was done this way and now it looks like it has chicken pox. It's goign to nbeed a sanding and professional paint and clear coat done. Personally, as low to the ground as that damage is, I'd buy the MBZ touch-up paint and color it myself. No one but you will ever know.

You can get touch up paint from the dealer or from someone like "Paintscratch.com". This is where I get my touchup paints from. There are several others.

I used his service a few times over the years and he would always sand (dry and wet) the area first. In the process, previous clear coat and paint would be removed. He would even apply putty if required. The job was perfect every time and you would not be able to tell the difference. I used towonder why the used vehicles at MB delaerships always have perfect bumpers...
Before repainting, you should try to repair it yourself. You can probably remove most of these scratches and you will certainly improve on the appearance. I myself use Meguiars Ultimate Compound. General rule is if you can feel the scratch by your fingertip, it is too deep to be repaired by these consumer products.
I was going to try Dr. Colorchip for the stone chips on my hood. No good?
