I got my SECOND comment on the (Bad)Black taillights today (the first was my wife who said "people are gonna think you're Asian"):

Hmm, seems to be an opinion pattern forming.
Easier to look at without the bow; it was crooked anyway.

Can't hardly see the diffuser. Sure can see that garish chrome bumper strip, tho.

Oh man, I was just kidding! If people can see your brake lights in the daytime, I mean, if you're comfortable that people behind you will see that you're stopping... Personally, I want the brightest lights I can get.

Chrome strip looks fine. But then, I wonder what the rear would look like without that line of demarcation. When I think I might want to black something, I stick electrical tape over it first. Or Photoshop.

i got mine done today, took me about 30 mins and $6 to do. Plasti dip is the name of the product you can just put it on and remove it whenever you like it.

 

any pics with the tail lights on??

I will take some pics tomorrow night..... I had it for while and the police didn't stop me the light is maybe 50 % less than the original condition. But it looks really good and if I decide to remove its a 2 mins job. You guys just try it it takes 30 mins for both and 6 or 7bucks in walmart. Don't be pussjk

nonetheless...that plastidip tail light is the fugliest thing i have ever seen on a CLK. that guy should drive a hyundai elantra or something.

 

if your going to do it plastic dip is not the way to do it, but the correct stuff
