NEW MEMBER SEARCHING FOR ADVICE!

Hey all, Im going to look at an 08 CLK550 coupe w/62k on it, tomorrow morning. Its got NAV and Wood Wheel so Im assuming that it has the P2 pkg??
I was hoping you guys could point out some issues for me to look for. Appreciate it in advance, thanks!

No, NAV and wood steering wheel are not part of P2. P2 is:

• Bi-Xenon headlamps with Active Curve Illumination.
• Heated headlamp washers (standard CLK 63 AMG).
• Heated washer system (standard CLK 63 AMG).
• Corner-illuminating front foglamps.

Oh, and really, there is nothing chronic to worry about on a MY2008 CLK - it should be a good choice.

By the looks of the pictures it appears to have all of those features.
Anything I should look for in regards to known mechanical issues with this specific model/motor?
Thanks

No, the CLK is overall a fairly reliable vehicle. As a MY2008, it should be beyond the balance haft problem range. If you want to know for sure, post then VIN and I will check (I can also give you the data card showing factory installed options).

Here you are:

Looks like it has the sport suspension, which is a nice option, and pretty much everything except Parktronic, KeylessGo and ventilated seats.

Looks like the car has been on their lot for a loooooooonnnngggg time. Needs rotors, tires and tpms sensors. Dealer is willing to do all the necessary service but Im a little reluctant based on the length of time its been sitting.

Why do you say it needs rotors? Is it because they are rusty or vibrating the steering wheel when driving? Is there an error relating to the tpms?

In any case, it is good if the dealer is willing to "fix" things, but I hope you plan to have the car inspected by an independent service provider.

Good luck.

When I applied the brakes at any speed there was a dramatic pulsation. Could be the tires just need a balancing but I brought it to a good friend of mine who is a master tech (now owns his own garage) he wrote the RO and the dealer said they would take care of everything after the holiday.
I plan on bringing it back to him after they service the car.
Thanks again for all the help, have a great weekend!

and contour seat and power trunk closer and bluetooth....Good thing: it has BiX headlights!

Unfortunately, Parktronic was not an option in the USA. Sport Suspension is standard on a 550.

Frank, I don't see the multi-contour seats (code 404) on there or Bluetooth (note that code 387 is just the "pre-wiring" which means you are $10 closer to the $1000+ install of the BT interface).
