My issue was the seat belt not rolling back. I opened the panel as Ahmet showed, the main rolling thing inside was working properly. Couldnt find anything to fix it. Everything seemed to be fine but still the seat belt lays on the floor. What can I do for that?

Officially, you'll need to replace the entire seatbelt mechanism. Unofficially, you may find a way to repair it. I had a problem like this once on a different brand car and I was able to tighten the spring. I haven't worked on the CLK's system (yet!).

Engineer. My belt does not fully retracted. Extender is ok, but belt does not fitfully coil back.

Seat belt giver
Hi Rudeney
I have Mercedes clk 200.The drive side seat belt giver is not working and also when you sit on driver side the seat belt light doesn't come on dashboard but when I sit on passenger side it's works fine. Do you think it's problem with sensor or the moter that push site belt to come forward ?
Thank you

2005 CLK500 Convertible
Good evening, today both seat belt presenters on my 2005 CLK500 convertible stopped working. I had no problems with them before. No noise, just not moving at all. I checked the door switch, the dome light turns on when door open. I also checked fuses 32 and 33, they are fine. It looks like they need to be reset. Any ideas? Thank you.

Thank you for reply. Yes the top does work. Some people mentioned about some warning message when the door is open with running engine and tran in drive. I don't see any massages.

If the dome light activates when opening the doors, then the door switched are working. You need to get codes pulled from the soft top module. A generic OBDII scanner won't do this - you need SDS or something like iCarsoft.

My extender came out completely. They always act funny in subzero temps, not moving at all or presenting and then retracting and sticking halfway back. When I got in car this morning though, there was a weird clicking sound and when I went to pull the belt, the whole presenter came with it... Hoping it's easy enough to reinstall, the WIS file should help a LOT! Are there any procedures to re-initializing the mechanism?

The arm is meant to just pull out. Assuming it's not broken, you can just line it up with the track and slowly push it back in. It goes in slowly because you are turning the gears on the motor. But that does not answer why it came out in the first place. Sounds like the motor never stopped and just kept feeding it out. Mine acted funky in cold - would go in and out like three times before stopping. I took the motor apart and cleaned it with a lot of electrical contact spray and cleaned the crud out from the gaps where the brushes contact the motor and it has worked perfectly in the two years since.
It must have tried presenting me the buckle when it was already frozen fully extended thereby spitting out the presenter, lulz.

2005 CLK500 Convertible
Good evening, As I posted couple of month ago my 2005 CLK500 convertible both seat belt presenters stopped working at the same time. Fuses 32 & 33 are fine, dome light works, soft top works. Today I finally got it to the mechanic to read the codes. The codes are 31401, 31501, 31407, 31507. Does anyone know what those codes stand for?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Looking at the diagnostic steps in SDS for these codes, it points to either a bad soft top controller, or a wiring issue. Since it's happening on both sides, it's probably not a wiring problem at the extender itself, but maybe at the controller. I think I'd start there - check the connections on the soft top controller to make sure they are secure. If They look good, then I think you are going to need to find a shop that can hookup to SDS and do a proper diagnosis.

Here's a wiring diagram:

There are three connectors, and I think the SBE connections are spread out among them.
