Drivers side rear quarter window wont close
Thanks for the great forum.
I just picked up my CLK350 a few weeks ago and went straight to this site and signed up.
Wonder if someone could point me in the right direction with this please?
The Drivers side (RHD) rear quarter window doesn't close properly when I open/close the door. It stays slightly ajar (12mm) and I have to close it manually (bit hard when you're out of the car tho).
All that I've done to the car since buying it is to disconnect the battery when I installed my genuine MB ipod kit.
I'm not sure if it was like that before - my wife has been driving it lately - but it certainly wasn't when I bought it.
Thanks for any help.

So if you hold the switch it does go all the way up? In that case, it probably just needs to be re-synced. With the doors closed, lower the glass halfway, then pull up on the switch fully until the glass closes, then continue holding for a few extra seconds. If this doesn't work, then pull fuses #32 and #33 (cabin, driver's side dash) for a minute to reset the rear controllers, the retry the sync.

Thanks Rodney, I'll try this when I get the car back from the body shop and let you know how it goes. Just getting some stone chip damage repaired.
Is it likely that the need for resynching is due to the battery being disconnected?

Yes, disconnecting the battery often looses window and sunroof synchronization as well as the steering angle calibration. These can all be easily reset. For the glass, open each halfway, then close fully and then close and hold the switch an extra few seconds. For the steering angle sensor (if you get an ESP error), just start the engine, and in park, turn the steering wheel lock to lock three times..
