CLK 500 vs. CLK 55
Anyone have any idea whether the CLK 500's will have an available AMG package, like the present CLK 430. Because I'm sorry, but the small things like the wheels and no lip spoiler on the 500 really take away from it. I mean look at the cosmetics on the 55, it is beautiful.

Yes, an AMG package is available for all CLK's but I don't know if it's stock on the CLK 500 in US (as it was with the 430).
There are also several wheel options including the AMG wheels. 18" is now standard for the AMG's - front 7.5x18 / rear 8.5x18 and the tire size is 225/40/18 and 255/35/18.

Do you know if I got the package on the CLK 500, if it would look anything like the CLK 55? And also do you recommend getting the 2002 CLK or the new 2003 CLK. I like the muscular look of the 2002 better, but I don't want to make early judgements on the 2003, but so far i like the 2002 better. Also, can I put a deposit which is refundable? Thanks for the help!

Any dealership will let you place a deposit on the new '03 CLK coupe or even the cabriolet. We currently have a few deposits on these cars and are basically asking for 1st, 2nd & 3rd color choices for exterior and interior. One advantage for you, is that the deposit is refundable all the way until the actually car arrives at the dealership. If you do not have a specific Representative you work with I would be more than welcome to assist you with the reservation.

There shouldn't be a difference except for the dual AMG exhaust, the badges and the AMG instrument cluster. Perhaps the ride height is different as well but you can fix this with the optional sport suspension package (includes lowering).

House of Imports being Mission Viejo House of Imports? Because if so, I live within 5 minutes of Mission Imports. I live in Nellie Gail. I am trying to decide whether or not I am going to get the CLK 500. I like the 2002 model much more, but if the 2003 model can look like the CLK 55. Then I think I might be sold. If possible...can you provide me with details on what would be different?

When I stated details in the previous post...I meant as far as the interior goes and the exterior front and rear ground effects, rear AMG lip spoiler, side skirts, wheels etc. What possible upgrades are available also? Last question, do you know of anywhere where I can see all the possible upgrades or packages on the CLK 500?

If I'm not mistaken the dealership you are referring to is no longer there. The only MBZ dealer in that area is MBZ of Laguna Niguel off the 5 freeway. House of Imports is in Buena Park, where the 5 and the 91 intersect.
In regards to the questions you have on the CLK option packages. I have just about as much info. as you. MBUSA has not released any options to the dealers or any pricing either. Now, from what I have read on the European sites the V8 version might not come standard with the sport package, which would be a bad thing. Other than that I in the dark about as much as everyone else. As soon as I get more info. I will post.
