Can someone tell me which make is MB OEM?
I know I should ask this question in the w215 forum but i noticed it's not too active in that forum. Also, OEM of spark plug wire set is probably the same for w209 and w215.
The spark plug wires were never changed so they are probably 10 years old. Let's hope there is no surprise when I changed the spark plugs at 60k miles.I
As per Glyn's suggestion, I went to rmeuropean and for w215, I found a set of Karlyn-STI wire set and some individual Bosch wires with different lengths. So, if I go with OEM (Bosch), I would have to find the individual length of the 16 wires! The same for my 2004 CLK320, there is a Karlyn-STI wire set and there are 2 Bosch individual wires of 245mm and 265mm.
Do they sell Bosch wire set?

Should I replace them now or should I wait for symptoms (car hesitates, rough idle, erratic ride, power loss, etc)?
Besides age, is there any way to tell visually if my wires are end-of-life?
These MB wires are certainly great. They have lasted 10 years and still working great.

Hope the Bosch wires are as durable and perform as well as the MB wires.
I will call the dealership to check the price. The price will probably be outrageous and I will end up with the regular Bosch wires.

You can also get packs of aftermarket Bosch wires that are generic & not the same quality.

Is there any way to see if this is OE or aftermarket?
I went to Rmeuropean and the only wire set I saw for my car (2004 CLK320) was Karilyn-STI for $140us. They do sell individual Bosch wires, are these OE that you are referring to? According to the site, I would need 8 wires of 245mm ($15us) and 4 wires of 256mm ($14us). I checked and the shipping charge from Rmeuropean to Canada is $42US.
Also, I called the dealer and each wire is $56can each. According to the parts guy, poeple usually change out the individual defective wire only. He said that the mechanic can tell using an Ohm meter to measure the resistance. I guess he does not deal with vintage cars much!!!

I went to the site and it did say OE on these individual Bosch wires.
There is a Bosch wire set in Autohausaz for lower price. I better get the OE from rmeuropean.
