2006 CLK350
Transmission service

Just finished the transmission flush on my 2006 CLK350.
Just about to clock over 100000 km so it seemed like a good time as I've only had the car for 3 months.
Absolutely no dramas experienced and it runs exactly as predicted.
The fluid was checked for any sediment or sludges and found to be perfectly clean.
I'm not sure what the original colour of the oil is supposed to be - I'm presuming this is the first change it's had - but it was more a grey colour than the Fuchs oil I replaced it with.
It already had a new design sump pan, so I guess its was upgraded like that from new. The drain plug seal still had original black paint on it.
My query is, "Is there anywhere to update the change date/mileage on the multifunction display".
Thanks
Tom

You mean to reset the indicator mileage to show a transmission fluid change? It can be reset for the engine oil change interval, but it doesn't show transmission intervals. The reset procedure is in the sticky at the top of the page.

Transmission Service.

Hi Yidney, thanks,

All that shows me is the Engine Oil change mileage, if I read it right.
The instructions aren't 100% correct for my car as I have to access the resetting section via the Outside Temperature window, there is no Odometer display as such.
I haven't found anything that suggests transmission oil changes info but they aren't really associated to engine oil changes. I'm presuming this is probably because they were expecting a 'lifetime no oil change'?

I look forward to enjoying this site as much as I'm enjoying the CLK.
Thanks again
Tom

NO LONGER ACTIVE
The original oil (at the OEM fluid or the Shell ATF 134) is about the same color as Yidney's car above. Used oil will be very dark gray, almost black. There is no mileage indicator reset for the transmission fluid change. The official transmission fluid flush for the 722.9 is indicated as "once at 60K kms". After seeing the condition of my oil, and then checking it again 500 mles after the change, I am doing it every 60K kms.
