Let him explain how rare and awesome his "1 of 100" CLK 500 AMG is, and how it justifies the price he asking. Be sure to give the impression you believe everything he says. When he is done talking, remove his license plate frame and put it on your car and exclaim you now have "1 of 100" now as well, then drive away.

Well since you all have nothing else to do but criticize someone's car online instead of doing something with your lives, I contacted MBNA when I first bought the car and had them run a VIN search, because all VIN decoders online are generic and do not give you complete details. Just like the Giorgio Armani designo edition which they only made 100 of in 2004, MBNA could only find 100 of my specific car along with 100 of the same exterior with the navy blue/black interior. Yes I put an AMG license plate frame on my car, big deal, but you are all mistaken, in fact it is an AMG with the AMG kit and rims dubbed the AMG appearance package option when ordering the car OEM from the factory, the exhaust is correct with the single tip exhaust and the only dual tip exhaust which came on the 2004's was the CLK55 which had on the exhaust tip AMG. 2005 started the dual exhaust tip on the CLK500's. Feel free to search the web and try to find my car anywhere in the world and then criticize me, I did my homework when I bought the car, so there you go "bro"....

In response to someone emailing me saying its not an AMG...In fact you are incorrect, MBNA did say it was an AMG going through the AMG factory in Affalterbach, all though not fully assembled in the AMG factory, it still went through there making it an AMG by MB and MBNA.
Also....I did not add the AMG badge, it came with the one owner car which came from Fletcher Jones originally and the only thing added was the plate frame

New, old Mercedes and REAL AMG's.
It is not cool to go around telling lies because it takes away from what it is a nice, clean CLK500 on its own right.
If you didn't put the AMG emblem there, the previous owner or even the dealership did it; they do it ALL THE TIME and it doesn't mean anything.

take the AMG bagdes off and sell it as it is, very fresh, clean and well maintained CLK500 with AMG package.

Hey everybody, selling this **rare** E550 4-Matic AMG Black Series DTM F1 Rally car with the George Bush appearance package, 1 of 100 made - got the Sandusky doors with the Paula Deen rims, everyone has heard of this car but never seen one or able to get pictures, well it's right here in Colorado. I've run a VIN verification with the WNBA when they weren't doing layups and everything has checked out bros

You can believe whatever you want, but the ad misrepresents what the car is and thus may fool a buyer. There is not and never has been a 500 AMG, and MB did not tell you that it was. Nor is that rear badge original to the car. I could care less what you do to or believe about your own car but falsely advertising the car, which you are now doing because you know the truth, is a bad thing. Maybe a buyer buys it, then becomes a forum member and reads this thread and comes to you for his money back. You'd lose that one. I'm not totally sure about the 500, but I'm amused about people selling 550s saying "it has the AMG package." Show me one that doesn't. It wasn't an option, it was part of car - like the doors.

That would have been me, I am again going say you are wrong. Like a few other have said you have a very nice looking car and the interior is fantastic I love it. Please do not misrepresent your car to interested buyers.

Correct - the W209 V8's sold in the USA all came standard with the AMG appearance package. International markets were different, though. Since it was a unique build code, it would have been possible to custom order one without it, but that would make no sense - why pay thousands of dollars to custom order a car, deleting a desirable package.
So yes, noting that a V8 CLK has the AMG package is a bit redundant, but since very few potential buyers know that it's a standard feature, it makes sense to mention it in terms of building up its value.
