2003 clk 320
Limp mode. Please help!

Hey how's it going? I just bought a 2003 clk 320. It has 128k. I hooked up the diagnostic test and it's giving me the codes P0715 and P0730. I put it in drive and sometimes it doesn't shift at all. Sometimes I restart it and I put in drive and it will drive put at a top speed of 40mph. I have no idea on what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I assume you researched those codes? Looks like you may need a new conductor plate in your tranny.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
Those generic OBDII codes just tell you "read the TCU fault codes". You'll need SDS or other high-end tool to read that system. But as Yidney said, it's likely that the codes will lead to replacing the conductor plate.

2003 clk 320
How much do you think that will cost? How likely is it to be the problem, just out of curiosity?

It's a common problem with the 722.6 transmission. A dealer charge you about $1000 to replace the conductor plate, change your fluid, and the filter.
