Water under car, in the middle

I have been noticing water accumulating in garage, under the car, below the back seat, an odd place for water. Yesterday I smelt, and rubbed in my fingers, felt like water, odourless, and directly in the middle of the car, below backseat, back rest.
What could this be, as nowhere near the engine compartment,

Usually blown back from the HVAC drain.

It is possible for it to come from an exhaust leak. Seeing that you are in FL, you may be running your A/C this time of year (I think in runs some with the heater also) and Glyn is probably right.

Try not running HVAC for the 3-5 miles before you park it in your garage. Check under the car after about 20 min. If it is not the HVAC, drips from your exhaust could pool at a low spot on the floor.

NO LONGER ACTIVE
The AC evaporator drains out on top of the transmission. It can run the housing and brackets and drip out pretty far back.
