Yeah, the XLR sucks; it looks like it should've been out in the 90's.

4 wheeled car.
Had a '95 Lexus LS400 that did the same thing. It shut off like that when coming up to a stop sign. Did it many times.
Cleaned up the EGR valve I think it was called, and that fixed it.

I don't know about the whole key thing. I've heard that same story from old fashioned keyed ignitions and it made some sense, but now that I'm hearing the same story for the electronic keys... Besides, I'm driving over bumpy, crappy, Amish built roads in Pennsyl-f'cking-vania, got almost the same milage as you, and have enough stuff on my key chain to use them as nunchuks and I never had that problem. I think you need to climb up the dealer's *** until you get a real answer.

Well heres an update. I had to drive it back to school (tampa). Of course I watched our jags beat the bucs into submission, and went to the game
. Woke up at 6:00 AM to leave to tampa the next day. Nothing went wrong. So it's been about 300 miles since it happened and it didn't happen again. I found out my cousins Volvo S80 (2001) did the sae thing when it was new. They took it to the shop and couldn't find anything wrong. And it has never happened again.
