Car not beeping after lock

Car not beeping after lock

I have the keyless go. The car used to beep when I lock it, but it stopped doing that. Is it a setting issue or is something broken?

NO LONGER ACTIVE

Probably a bad ATA horn module. Does the panic button still sound the alarm? If not, then it's definitely the ATA module. It's located under the fender shroud, behind the front passenger side wheel.

Thanks I think you are correct. the panic button flashes light but no alarm sound.

do I have to remove the front wheel an remove the plastic shroud around the wheel to get to it? do you have any instructions?

Yes, you need to lift the vehicle and remove the front passenger tire, then remove the rear portion of the fender shroud. It's very easy - just a few bolts and plastic keepers to remove and then you can pull the shroud out. You may not even have to remove it completely - the horn is near the bottom.
