Hello everyone , i sold my 03 e500 and looking to purchase an 03 or 04 clk 320 or 500

i was just wondering what do i need to make sure to get checked before buying

every mbz models has their problems

That's a solid engine/transmission combination, so nothing really specific to check. Suspension issue will be a concern, but parts are not expensive. The CLK is a "simpler" vehicle than your E (such as having only one battery).

I have an 03 CLK500. The only issue I've had is the valve cover oil leak (cheap and easy fix) and the PO smashed the bumper and did a terrible repair job on it. Now if I could just find a new cover with headlamp washers and park sensors cutouts.

I would urge you to go for the 500. The power makes me smile everyday.

Couldn't agree more. You could make more power with the 500... depending on how much you want to drop on it (super charge it!!!).

If i was you I would look for a 05 clk55 so you get the amg calipers and the factory quad exhaust... just an option. Btw I have a 09 550 and love every second I look at it.
